Before you say ANYTHING, read this and THINK about it (that means you Herp...)EDIT by HERP: Wut did I do?





Okay, I see what I need to do now. I'm still saying to forget about magic, but hear me out. I think you should make this an original, normal adventure game. Instead of having preexisting characters, you should make your own characters. It'll be more fun, original, you won't be stealing, and you get to practice your spriting. It shouldn't have to be JUS though.

EXAMPLES OF CHARACTERS: A knight, a dragon of some sort, a guy who controls the very aspects of physics to fight.

That's exactly what I tried to avoid people complaining about: the rule. That's how I even managed to make this idea possible, as you just stated. So yeah, controlling physics doesn't count as magic, so long that it has to do with a machine or the actual human body.

Should I add a poll about it? Or an entire discussion.

Eh, I'll ask around. I think most of us want to stick with our original plan, But we'll see. Btw, are you counting Chi as the Human body?

Chi would have to be VERY rare though. It can only be in humans that have the utmost focus and control. Since I rewatched the Avatar, I see that that is really what Chi is.

Well, I, for one, think it'd be better to start with a fan-game like this one.
Not only does it give you a bunch of preexisting characters to start with, all with distinct personalities, it also gives you a distinct play style to capture, and you can judge how well you did by how much the game emulates it (e.g., how much SSF2 feels like SSBB).

Inventing characters is hard; take it from me. I think the currently planned HeroQuest is a good way to get some practice in before he tries a fully original game.
